Let's talk about eerie. As you continue on the 4x4 road past Devils Bridge for a few miles, you arrive at Vultee Arch trailhead. This 4x4 road is not very long, but it takes forever because you have to go extremely slow due to the rocky off-road style road. It's about 3.5-miles to get to this arch. It looks identical to Devils Bridge, but just a little more difficult to get to and not as safe to be on. I climbed up to it and walked across it, but probably wasn't the safest idea of mine. The reason I consider it eerie; is due to the fact I did not see one other person the entire time I hiked this trail and I had the feeling I was being watched. So I carried a rock I found on the trail the entire time just in case it was a mountain lion or something trying to attack me. I'm not sure if I was paranoid or was just over thinking things. But...thankfully I never ran into anything or anyone and made it there and back in less than 2 hours. I don't recommend climbing on the arch alone as I did. Just take pictures of it from below to be safe. Dogs allowed on trail as long as they are leashed. I also recommend sunscreen as always and lots of water. Not straight sun exposure, but better to be safe than sorry. Don't forget to look around and take in nature, as it's gorgeous back here with all the rock formations and trees. Maybe don't hike alone like I did too. HAHA
