Park on Turnbull Canyon Road where it is allowed and head up the center of the trail. From here it snakes up at a moderate ascent. Up at the top of this moderate ascent about 1-1.5 miles, there will be a couple of options. Head to the right for the water tower, and to the left for more trails and another section. Mostly have gone to the water tower and back down. But a few times I've gone left to see what there is. Never have I gone all the way to the left. But, I know there is an additional place to park this way, but have not been to it yet, so can not help you out with that one. Simple 4-5-mile hike if you do just what I recommend from the road, up to the tower and back down. Feel free to explore and add more miles to this simple hike. Highly trafficked and I tend to jog/sprint this one to get a killer workout from it. Watch for bikers as they like these trails as well. Dogs allowed on leash. Very little shade so bring sunscreen and water in the warm summer months.
