Ever want to skip the long-dreaded slow incline and just go straight to the top of a mountain? Well, this is the hike for you! In just a short 1.5-miles, you will gain 1,050 feet of elevation to reach the top.

This 5,456-foot mountain in the middle of the Joshua Tree National Park. A full 360 view of the park to make you once again feel like a tiny human. Nature is a wonderful thing and this view will leave you speechless.

The trail is very clear and easy to find. One way up and one way back down. Should not get lost or worry about directions. If you have extra time, check out the "Indian Cave" at the bottom of the trail. Not a must see, but why not if you're already there. Absolutely no tree coverage and obviously in the middle of the desert. Make sure you have sun-layers, sunscreen and lots of water. Did this hike in Spring, so it wasn't extremely hot yet. Heard the summer should be avoided for all these hikes. So hike at your own risk. Overall 1.5-hours to complete this 3-mile trek. We hiked this the same day after hiking Warren Peak. So for those of you who love to get as much hiking in one day as possible...then you may be able to get a few done while visiting Joshua Tree. Camping is available, or if you live close enough, like I do in Orange County. Then make a day trip in just a quick 2-hour drive. NO bikes or dogs allowed.
