I almost don't even want to consider this a hike. But it is about 1.5-mile roundtrip hike. It may be challenging for your site seeing folk. It shouldn't take more than 30 mins. Parking is very limited, and you now have to pay a fee to park! Definitely family friendly and worth the view no matter what. I always had it on my bucket list and would recommend putting it on yours. I have been here two times now. Both times it was purely amazing. A pure gorgeous piece of nature. You can walk around once you have arrived at the main viewpoint. Some people were even picnicking. If you choose to explore a bit, just be cautious. There are many chances to fall off the edge if you're not paying attention.

I would recommend going at sunrise, as the canyon gets dark closer to sunset. One day I will go back for sunrise. It is located right outside of Lake Powell and Page, Arizona. It is part of the Colorado River and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. And yes it is dog friendly on leashes!
